Telluride Information

Telluride Information Whether you are here to ski, and snowboard or appreciate the great music at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Telluride Jazz Celebration, people of all ages will find something to bring them to Telluride.

In addition to the resort and the festivals, Telluride also offers outdoor activities for the whole family. There is outstanding camping, hiking, biking, fishing and Jeeping accessible from our properties in Telluride and Mountain Village.

The town of Telluride may only be eight blocks wide and 12 blocks long, but it is home to one of the most prolific ski resorts in the country and some of the most well known festivals in the world including Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Telluride Film Festival. With the town’s colorful Victorian-era homes, classic Main Street storefronts, art galleries, five-star restaurants, historic landmarks and more, Telluride is more than just a day on the slopes. Our residents strive to preserve Telluride’s historically significant architecture, traditional design elements and, most of all, Telluride’s small-town mountain lifestyle.

Telluride isn’t the only attraction when you stay at a Silverstar property. Mountain Village sits above the city of Telluride at an elevation of 9,500 feet, which provides unimpeded access to the Telluride Ski Resort and Uncompahgre National Forest. This tree-line mountainside village offers European chalet styling that you come to expect with luxury mountain vacations. With Mountain Village extravagant feel, they still practice responsible and sustainable growth in keeping their small-town feel.

Want to experience the best of Telluride and Mountain Village during your next vacation? The two towns are connected by a free gondola that offers a picturesque view over both areas and makes shopping, eating and exploring the area incredibly easy.

Traveling by Air?

You can reach Telluride by one of these three airports. Montrose Regional Airport and Grand Junction Regional Airport offer more incoming flights than Telluride Airport and are more accessible from most points outside of Colorado. While flying into Denver International Airport may be cheapest, remember that we are located approximately 8 hours west of the city by car and requires travel on I-70 which may be very difficult in the winter.
