The National Telluride

The National is a contemporary American restaurant that wants to enhance the dining experience with their food and service. Erich Owen and Ross Martin are the head chefs and owners of The National. They skillfully create the menu and work closely with farms and the local communities for their meat and produce.

The National offers an enhanced dining experience with experts that help you pair drinks with every meal. The on-site Sommeliers (wine experts) and bar team will help pair wine and cocktails depending on your preferences.

For a more elevated experience, consider reserving The National’s Rooftop to enjoy a four-course meal with friends or family (up to 14 people). When you reserve The Rooftop, you’ll have your own private space from 5:30 – 9:30 PM. The four-course dinner is curated from the menu along with surprises. The Sommeliers and bar chefs will expertly pair each bite with a drink.

Consider reserving The National for your next private event. If you’re planning a rehearsal dinner or your next family reunion, The National is the perfect spot to dine.

221 South Oak

Want to be wowed with food made by a Top Chef? You may have seen Eliza Gavin on season 10 of Bravo’s Top Chef. Brown Dog Pizza

Brown Dog Pizza is a Telluride favorite located on Colorado Ave. Brown Dog is known for their classic American-style pizza and their “YX” cheesesteak sub, named after the license plates that were once issued to the residents of San Miguel County in Colorado.

The pizza joint is run by Dan Lynch and Jeff Smokevitch, and they have been partners for over 20 years. Smokevitch attended the International School of Pizza in 2010 and has since assisted the legendary Master Instructor, Tony Geminani, with several sessions at the school. Geminani requested that Smokevitch is on the World Pizza Champions team in the Fall of 2010.

In 2013, Smokevitch and Brown Dog’s pizza was judged as the World’s Best Pizza in the American Pan Division. They scored 1st place at the International Pizza Expo and 2nd place in the final round of the expo’s challenge.

Brown Dog Pizza offers a variety of food including their award-winning pizza, sandwiches, chicken wings, salads, and pasta dishes. They serve different styles of pizza including Detroit, American classic, thin crust, and Sicilian.
